MEGA (National Infrastructure Project Assistance program) Grants Dec. 31, 2022 U.S. DOT Support large, complex surface transportation infrastructure projects that are difficult to fund by other means and likely to generate national or regional economic, mobility, or safety benefits. The BIL specifies that the USDOT Secretary consider, as an additional consideration for the Mega program, whether a project may benefit an Area of Persistent Poverty or a Historically Disadvantaged Community.
INFRA Grants (Nationally Significant Multimodal Freight & Highway Projects) Dec. 31, 2022 U.S. DOT Awards competitive grants for multimodal freight and highway projects of national or regional significance to improve the safety, efficiency, and reliability of the movement of freight and people in and across rural and urban areas.
Rural Surface Transportation Grant Program Dec. 31, 2022 U.S. DOT Support projects, in a rural area, as defined by USDOT for this grant that is based on the 2010 census, to improve and expand the surface transportation infrastructure in rural areas to increase connectivity, improve the safety and reliability of the movement of people and freight, and generate regional economic growth and improve quality of life.
Transportation Alternatives Set-aside 2023 Oct. 31, 2022 NJDOT Local Aid The Transportation Alternatives Set-Aside (TA Set-Aside) program provides federal funds for community based “non-traditional” surface transportation projects designed to strengthen the cultural, aesthetic, and environmental aspects of the nation’s intermodal system.
